Description:

Students in the Social Science with Mathematics program take university mathematics prerequisite courses as part of their Social Science program. The aim is to keep their university options open. It’s a program for students who are good at mathematics, like it and don’t want to give it up. As with all Social Science students, they also study aspects of human life (past, present, and future) as a means of understanding the complexities of society.

Graduates of Social Science with Mathematics have a wide range of options open to them in areas such as anthropology, commerce, economics, sociology, geography, history, political science, psychology and religious studies. Social Science graduates also study for such professions as law, journalism, education and social work. However, with their additional studies in mathematics, graduates of this program are also prepared for other university studies requiring advanced mathematics.
